Podcamp Philly will be held this year on September 6th and 7th at Temple University

Sessions will be taking place in the Tuttleman Learning Center at Temple; Registration will be in the lobby of Tuttleman. Please refer to the Podcamp Philly website for more detailed information, maps and directions.

What is PodCamp Philly?

Podcamp Philly is a New Media Unconference, now in its second year. This year's conference will concentrate on taking your new media projects, whether podcasts, video podcasts, blogs, or websites to the next level. We have partnered with the Search Marketing gurus to present a track of sessions on Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing, to help enhance your internet presence.

For people new to Unconferences, Podcamp, and New Media, we will have a page on our website leading you to the Introduction material- podcasts and videos- you might want to review before attending podcamp, introducing you to the basics of Social Media, Podcasts, Wikis, RSS and more.

Why is there a charge this year?

This year, in the interest of sustaining our community commitment, we are instituting a nominal registration fee ($20), which covers both days of Podcamp and the social events.

In addition to helping us maintain a more accurate head count, registration proceeds will benefit The Science Leadership Academy , a Special Admission School District of Philadelphia High School, developed in partnership with The Franklin Institute and its commitment to inquiry-based science. SLA provides a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum with a focus on science, technology, mathematics and entrepreneurship. Students at SLA learn in a project-based environment where the core values of inquiry, research, collaboration, presentation and reflection are emphasized in all classes.

The power of an UnConference is you get access to ideas, thoughts, best practices, and the true "wisdom of crowds" simply by registering and attending. An UnConference brings people with many different skill set together with the spirit of sharing and learning. We're audio and video podcasters, enthusiasts, businesspeople, hobbyists, musicians, promoters, marketers, and people who generally want to understand more about the new media space. We would like everyone to participate in some form or another and learn.
